Zone 9: ‘DDR Dance Mats’, with Alonzorion.

Alonzorion is a YouTuber who I found while I was procrastinating from finishing an assignment at University back in 2013.

A fantastic individual with a great drive for this, he’s been on the site for nearly a decade, always putting on a good show for his subscribers and making sure to reply to every comment he receives on his videos.

Since 2013, I’ve been subscribed to him watching his subsequent Tomb Raider and Resident Evil playthroughs and many more. It culminated into him hosting a live stream late last year of controlling Tomb Raider II with a dance mat, raising over $1000 for the charity ‘Extra Life’.

Here, we talk about his history with the channel, his process in making a ‘Lets Play‘ series, alongside the choices of his favourite game and boss.

1.27: ‘The Shortcuts Show’, with Matthew Cassinelli.

Siri Shortcuts had its beginnings as ‘Workflow‘, before being acquired by Apple last year in March. It lets you create workflows by commands and different apps, and you can also activate them from Siri itself. Up until its release, I wasn’t convinced. After its release, I was, and I’ve been wanting to learn more about it ever since.

Which is why this week I’m joined by an ex-Workflow member and now freelancer, Matt Cassinelli, where we talk about how Siri Shortcuts fits on his iPad, our wishes for Version 3.0, alongside him trying to convince me to pre-order an iPhone XR.

He also completely destroys a feature that has been a staple of the show for the last few months!

1.20: ‘Siri, take me to 1985’, with Chris Lawley.

Chris is someone who I’ve been following towards the start of this year when I first listened to ‘Slab of Glass’, a podcast he co-hosts with previous guest Jeff Perry.

Chris is more of a video editor than a writer, and his passion shows with his YouTube channel, alongside his main site, ‘Untitled Site’, where he talks all about how he uses his iPad full time.

We talk all about this, alongside where we see Siri Shortcuts fitting on an AppleTV, games on an iPad, and which app he’d take with him on Outpost Island.

1.4: ‘Delete your Account Jimmy.’ With Greg Morris.

Sometimes you reach your limit with social media, and that happened for most of last year with me and Greg.

We spend this one-off episode talking about our gripes with it, what we’ve found, and even talk about our writing and what makes us type down the words into our apps and sites.

Alongside many other tangents.
