This week a Nintendo Direct was announced and shown, and it wasn’t until the end that a remake of Link’s Awakening was announced for the Nintendo Switch. With that, Matt joins me to also gush over the original on the Game Boy, alongside discussing remakes and nostalgia in general. We also manage to talk about Matt’s two choices, alongside what could have been for certain games.
We also talk briefly about a certain Shadow Moses game, where Matt gives an opinion that leaves me surprised!
The long-awaited follow-up where Natashareturns, and after her spending the last month with a remade trilogy, we break it all down and find out just why the first entry is her favourite game.
We go into the topics of remakes, nostalgia, alongside what Natasha would like to see in a ‘Crash 4‘.
John is a writer and videographer for Eurogamer and Digital Foundry, based in Germany.
I’ve been a fan of John’s ‘DF Retro‘ series since it began in July of 2016, and subsequently it was great to have him on to chat about his history with Digital Foundry, alongside his thoughts on emulators, game preservation, and more.
We go though his favourite game first and foremost, where I mentioned about my favourite mods for it and its previous game, alongside his boss stage.
But mainly, we talk about a game from last year we still can’t get enough of, alongside our hopes for the characters we’d like to see in its Season 2 DLC. Which coincidentally, is going to be announced this weekend.
Liam has been someone I’ve been following for the last few years, ever since I spotted his video about Rogue Squadron and the cancelled plans for a Wii release.
Even though he has a day-job, he’s been killing it by publishing videos on YouTube that have interested him, and that’s resulted in showcasing games that a lot of us were previously unaware of.
In this entry, we talk about just what makes him go for these particular games, alongside social media, and of course, his favourite game and boss stage.
