Long rumoured, and now official.
This looks to be continuing a trend from last March, where the iPhone SE was announced.
Something new that appears halfway through a new iPhone’s lifecycle.
Instead of an event, it was a pre-announcement from the Apple Store, promising ‘something new’. Once the Store came back up, we were shown the red model, alongside a side-grade of the iPad Air 2, alongside bigger storage options for the SE.
The iPhone 7 is in a matte red design where it continues its ‘ProductRED’ campaign.
I’m disappointed the front is white, alongside a silver home button instead of a red, but the back finish looks great.
It releases on Friday. I’ll be surprised if it’s available anywhere else than Apple’s own channels, due to it being for ProductRED.
We’ve now reached the halfway point for iPhone 7. We’ve reached the small event, and now it’s the next build up of anticipation for September.
